Founded initially in 1991 as the Schools Polo Association, SUPA concentrated on the younger generation and their interest in and love for Polo.

In 1994 SUPA  expanded its involvement to include universities. University Polo is now played by over 1500 students at 48 Universities and Colleges accross the UK.

In 2009 SUPA held their biggest University Championship ever. Over 4 days 94 teams from 27 Universities competed for trophies making it the l argest Arena Polo Tournament in World.

SAPA was established in March 2008 to keep Graduates playing Polo. SAPA organise and promote amateur polo amongst the alumni of SUPA and the Pony Club.
